The Story of Us
Red Potato Market is a retail store that offers beautifully curated collections of home decor, clothing, gifts and more! Owner, Laurie Cuthbertson, lives her dream in the 1929 historic building (formerly known as the Schultz General Store and most recently Foster Creek Veterinary Hospital) in Richmond, Texas. Through her love for everything home, an eye for design, and a love for people, you will find modern, transitional, and eclectic decor accents in the ever-changing vignettes to inspire your lifestyle.
The boutique carries many great brands of decor, clothing, jewelry, accessories and gifts for in-store and online shopping. Our promise to you: to provide a stress-free, relaxed and friendly atmosphere for a memorable shopping experience.Β
History
The original store was opened by Laurie Cuthbertson and Debra Sabrsula in October 2013 in Simonton, Texas, in a 1920βs Craftsman house surrounded by magnificent live oak trees. In the early 1900's, Simonton was the largest grower of red potatoes in the United States.Β Having both grown up in a small town, they wanted to preserve a bit of history and so named the shop Red Potato Market.Β Debra retired from the business in 2021.
